The dilemma

Mateo helped you fix your roof last winter. Tonight he admits his visa expired years ago and he is terrified. Ten minutes later, Sarah from the neighborhood watch is at your door. She asks if you know anything about Mateo. She says the law applies to everyone and keeping secrets hurts the community. Mateo is watching from his dark living room window.
