The dilemma

The ship is listing hard to starboard. The crowd on deck is growing desperate. Your second officer shouts over the noise: '{{NAME}}, we need at least 4 crew who can row or nobody in that boat makes it to morning.' You have 20 seats. How do you fill them?

Your options

  1. Women and children first. Fill 16 seats with them, reserve 4 for crew rowers.
  2. Maximize survival. Select the 20 people most likely to endure the open sea, prioritizing strong rowers and those in good health.
  3. First come, first served. Open the gate and let whoever reaches the boat first get on, but hold 4 seats back for rowers.

The Last Lifeboat

One lifeboat. Twenty seats. More than fifty people on deck. You decide who gets on.
